MISSION STATEMENT:
We exist to assist the pastor in
the preaching, teaching, and shepherding
functions of
the church, to encourage the spiritual
development of all believers, and
to help meet the physical, emotional,
and spiritual needs
of the church and community. The
Deacons' goal is to be aware of people
and their needs so
we can know how to best meet those
needs and demonstrate God's
care for His children. It is
this goal that we keep before us as
we minister to the congregation.
A strategic plan was drafted in 2004 following
a leader's retreat, and it sets the direction and provides a framework
for making the decisions that will be necessary for the church
to reach God's full potential for spiritual growth. Many of the
core strategies are being met. Through the leadershiop summit
meeting on 4/17/04, we re-examined and re-evaluated this plan.
We have been involved in supporting many ministries
