AWANA
PLEDGE:
"I
pledge allegiance to the AWANA
Flag, which stands for the
AWANA Clubs, whose goal is
to reach boys and girls with
the gospel of Christ and train
them to serve him.
The word AWANA is an acronym for Approved
Workmen Are Not Ashamed. (2 Timothy
2:15). AWANA is a bible centered youth program from preschool
through high school. Our program focuses on Kindergarten
through 6th grade. Our goal in AWANA is to reach boys and
girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.

SPARKS - Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
The Sparks program is used for K through
2nd graders. There are three handbooks that each clubber can
complete at their own pace with the help of the friendly firefly,
Sparkie.
Meetings are divided into three sections:
- Green Meadow Time,
which includes singing and a Bible story.
- Sparkle Time,
which is one on one handbook time with a leader which involves
scripture memory.
- Game Time on
the AWANA circle.
TRUTH and TRAINING CLUBS - 3rd - 6th
Grades
The bottom line with Truth and Training
is IT'S FUN! The club meetings will consist of three segments
and will provide start-to-finish adventure and excitement!
-
Game Time - Every club
meeting includes high-energy
game time. This time unleashes
kids' natural energy and enthusiasm.

Here, an AWANA leader helps kids with
Handbook time.
|
Handbook time
- Using achievement-oriented curriculum materials, AWANA
emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses.
Clubbers are rewarded for their achievements as they progress
through the handbooks.
- Council Time
- The whole club gathers for a Bible message, singing and
awards for handbook progress and team competition, and announcements.
Clubbers work at their own individual pace
and achievement level. Once the entrance booklet has been
completed, clubbers will be able to purchase the next handbook
and be eligible to purchase a uniform.
Points and jewels
are accumulated throughout the
evening for completed sections
in the handbook. An award
ceremony then takes place at the
end of each night where earned
points and jewels are presented
to each clubber.
