Children's Ministry
AWANA
Club
As part of our Children's ministry, AWANA
remains one of our strongest ministries at the SGCC. Today's
childen are confronted with more difficult decisions than
ever before, AWANA's Bible-based program
seeks to establish them on a firm Biblical foundation which
provides direction for their daily lives. This program presents
an opportunity for children to establish and grow in their
relationship with God and to build self-esteem and good relationships
with others.
Our AWANA program focuses on Kindergarten
through 6th grade, and our goal is to reach boys and girls
with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. New
members are always welcome. AWANA meetings are usually held
during the school year on Wednesday evenings. For more information
about getting involved with AWANA, contact Jan Anderson or

Sunday
School - Terri Pardee, Director
Sunday School provides children
in all age groups a chance to learn about applying the principles
of the Bible to everyday life. It allows time for kids to
interact with each other and engage in fun, interactive learning
activities. Sunday schoolers also get opportunities to learn
new music and sometimes get to sing together in special services.
Children contribute so much to the SGCC, and we're proud of
them and the teachers, too.
Sunday school students also get opportunities
to give toward mission projects. Many will participate in
the shoebox ministry of Samaritan's Purse at Christmas time.

an opportunity for kids to have summer fun! Held annually,
VBS runs for one week in July for 3 hours a day. Kids can
