From Pastor Kendall
While we are in a study of prayer, it is good to be reminded that we should pray. How can God answer prayers that are never prayed? James 4:1-3 reminds us: 1 "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." So we have not because we do not ask or we ask with the wrong motives. Working on both of these issues would be important. I would love to be called by God that I am a man of prayer and our church is a church of prayer, always going to God and going with the right motives.
There are three weeks left in the "Pray Like Jesus" series and hopefully our conversation with God has been growing and will continue to grow. We need to spend time in conversation with God every day sharing our experiences and feelings, and looking for His coming Kingdom more and more everyday in our lives.
The last Sunday of March is Easter Sunday. What a great time to invite as many as you can to come to church since it is easily the biggest Sunday of the year. For Spring Green Community Church, Easter Sunday marks the beginning of a very important eight week series entitled, "Life Improvement", on how to build better relationships. All of us are in a variety of relationships and they could all be made better. This series will take a look at relationships from different parts of the Bible to see what God has for us in this area of life. Easter Sunday starts us off with, "Resurrecting Relationships." What did Jesus do to mend some relationships between, the time of the resurrection and the ascension?
